Mini Field Guide to NH

A series of paintings I did for my recently-completed course 'Natural History of Northern New England: Fall'.
During the semester, on our own time, we had to monitor what plants, animals, and fungi we saw and put together a mini field guide of sorts. I saw all kinds of mushrooms, but couldn't find out what they were. Also couldn't really find any flowers this time of year...
So, I stuck to some basics.
From left to right...
Trees: White Pine, Apple, Grey Birch, Red Oak, and Sugar Maple. In no particular order.
Birds: Red-tailed Hawk, Raven, common Crow, blue jay, and chickadee. In order of size.
Mammals: Moose, Red Fox, Raccoon, Striped Skunk. Also in order of size.
These were each on a card with info and all stapled together. Hoohah.

I really like how the mammals and trees came out...I was trying to use a different medium for each type, and unfortunately the penciled birds didn't come out to good. Ah well.
I did have references for these...I've never drawn a raccoon or fox or...well...any of these, pretty much. But I'm still proud of how they came out...particularly the moose and fox. ^^
